Turkish electronics retailer to go public
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 05.04.2011 - Turkish consumer electronics retailer Bimeks is set to go public next week after initial public offerings, scheduled for April 7-8, the company said on Tuesday.
Bimeks is planning to sell of 30 percent of stakes for an expected return of 65-70 million Turkish liras in cash. The company will be the first consumer electronics retailer to trade at Turkey's main stocks exchange, the ISE, as of April 14.
Bimeks achieved a turnover of 303 million TL in 2010 and the company is estimated to reach 1.2 billion TL in turnover for 2015.
The company has 38 stores in 20 Turkish cities, employing some 500 people.
Bimeks Director General Arif Bayraktar says the company plans to open over 100 new stores by 2015.
