Six More Espaced Detainees Held
SEREMBAN (Bernama) - Police have caught six more escaped detainees of the Lenggeng Immigration Depot near here, raising to 92 the number of escapees arrested after 109 detainees broke out of the detention centre on Tuesday.
Negeri Sembilan police deputy chief Abdul Manan Mohd Hassan said the six men were arrested in the Lenggeng area.
"So far, 92 escaped detainees have been arrested, leaving 17 still at large," he told Bernama.
On Tuesday, 109 illegal immigrants from Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand and Iran set fire to the block of the depot which they were occupying and escaped.
