KELANTAN TO HOST 30TH IMT-GT MEETING
KOTA BAHARU (Kelantan, Malaysia), April 13 (Bernama) -- Kelantan will host
the two-day 30th Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) joint
business council meeting here, from Saturday.
Deputy President of Kelantan Malay Chambers of Commerce, Hanafee Yusoff,
said the meeting would explore joint business opportunities in the three
neighbouring regions.
He said the Kelantan chambers, which is the business council meeting
secretariat, was expecting about 150 participants.
Hanafee told Bernama that the event, from the economic point of view, would
pave the way for Kelantan to become an investment destination particularly
focusing on the Kelantan-Thailand new growth areas like Pengkalan Kubur-Takbai,
Rantau Panjang-Pekan Sungai Golok and Bukit Bunga-Ban Buketa.
The meeting will be opened by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department
Nor Mohamed Yakcop.

products from Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia would be held here, starting
Thursday.
