Turkish foreign minister attends Libya Contact Group meeting in Doha

DOHA (A.A) - 13.04.2011 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that a political change should be made peacefully to meet demands of Libyan people.
Davutoglu told reporters after attending the first meeting of the Libya Contact Group in Doha, Qatar, "Libya Contact Group was established during the international conference in London. During today's meeting, I had the change to inform participants on outlines of Turkey's road map which was made public by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan last week. We think that a political change should be made peacefully to meet demands of Libyan people. We also think that a cease-fire should be declared as soon as possible to put an end to killings of civilians."
Earlier in the day, Davutoglu had separate meetings with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, head of the African Union Commission Jean Ping, UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy Abdelilah Al-Khatib.
He also held talks with Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad Al Sabah.
Later, Davutoglu left Doha for Ankara.
