Turkey's premier visits injured people brought from Libya

ANKARA (A.A) - 15.04.2011 - Turkey's prime minister visited on Friday the injured who have been brought to Turkey from Libya for treatment.
Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan received information from the chief doctor of Ankara's Ataturk Teaching Hospital about the injured brought from Libya's Misurata and Benghazi cities.
"Of course, NATO will operate the upcoming process more sensitively and differently in line with the decisions that came out of the informal foreign ministers meeting," Erdogan told reporters.
In their statement on Libya, NATO members said they remained committed to full implementation of UNSC Resolutions 1970 and 1973. "In carrying out our mission, we reaffirm our support to the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national unity of Libya. We reiterate our strong support for the development of a transparent political solution as the only way to bring an end to the crisis and build lasting peace in Libya and a better future for the Libyan people," they said.
There are actually 14 people under treatment at Ankara's Ataturk Teaching Hospital. Some of the injured are receiving treatment in the Aegean provinces of Izmir and Mugla.
"Eight of the injured (in Ankara) are under intensive care, one of the 14 injured is a woman and one of them is a three-year-old kid," Erdogan said.
Erdogan said the injured were in stable condition, and Turkey would send them back to their country after they recovered.
Earlier this month, a Turkish ferryboat and military cargo plane brought around 500 people who were injured in clashes between the forces of Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi and the opposition.
