Indian national commits suicide in hotel room in Nepal

Shirish B Pradhan, Kathmandu, Apr 16 (PTI) A 25-year-old Indian national
allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling
fan in a hotel room here Saturday.
Shambhu Modak, a resident of Bokaro Steel City in
Jharkhand, was found dead inside the room he was staying in
Hotel Lafa, situated in Lainchaur, the outskirts of the city,
according to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle.
The reason behind the extreme step is not yet known as
no suicide note was found inside the room.
The body has been sent to National Forensic Department
at Maharajgunj for postmortem, the police said.
