PETRONAS DIVESTS SHARES IN CAIRN INDIA

KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's national oil company Petronas
has sold all of its 14.94 per cent holdings (283.4 million shares) in Cairn
India Limited held by Petronas International Corporation Ltd for a total
consideration of about US$2.1 billion.

The transaction brings to a close a successful association as a shareholder
with Cairn India since 2006, Petronas said in a statement.
