ARIANESPACE TO CONTINUE TO PARTNER JAPAN'S SATELLITE MANUFACTURERS
KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- Arianespace, the launcher of Malaysia
East Asia Satellite (Measat) 1 and 2, says it will continue to be a major
partner to the Japanese satellite manufacturers and operators.
In a statement here Tuesday, the company said the decision confirming its
commitment as a partner was made during its annual Japan Week conference in
Tokyo.
Arianespace offers launch service and solutions to satellite operators from
around the world, including both private companies and government agencies,
based on a complete family of launchers.
Since opening its Tokyo office 25 years ago, the company has won 27 launch
contracts in Japan out of the 36 open to competition, giving it a market share
of 75 per cent.
Arianespace also has two other Japanese satellites in its order book which
is the JCSAT-13 and JCSAT-110R which is scheduled for launch this year.
