ZETI REAPPOINTED MALAYSIA'S CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR FOR FIVE-YEAR TERM

KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 (Bernama) -- Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz has been reappointed Bank Negara Malaysia (Malaysia's Central Bank) Governor for a five-year term, effective May 1.

In a statement here Wednesday, Bank Negara said the reappointment of Zeti has been consented to by the Malaysian King, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

Zeti,64, has held the position of Governor since May 2000.
