Turkey to turn Turkish Cypriot TV's broadcast into digital

ANKARA (A.A) - 21.04.2011 - Turkey's Prime Ministry will provide the source required to turn broadcasts a state television of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) into digital, sources said on Thursday.
The Prime Ministry's office dealing with Cyprus affairs will allocate the financial resource required to make Bayrak Radio and Television's (BRTK) broadcasts digital.
Turkey's State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek has signed a protocol with Turkey's Transportation Ministry some time ago regarding the project.
Turkish Transportation Ministry and TRNC Prime Ministry are expected to sign a related contract these days in order to implement the project.
After the contract is signed, Turkish Prime Ministry will transfer the financial resource to Turkish Transportation Ministry.
The project envisages installment of transmitter infrastructure in the BRTK.
