WAMY to hold its annual Iftar

Riyadh, Sept 1, SPA -- The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) will
hold its annual iftar party here on September 9, 2008. WAMY's Secretary General Dr Salih al-Woheibi said a great attention is given to the iftar party by the diplomats working in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia as well as by WAMY's supporters.

He noted that the iftar party provides a good opportunity to shed
light on the activities of WAMY and its role as an international
Islamic youth organization.

Dr al-Woheibi said WAMY's officials have been exchanging visits with
the ambassadors and consuls working in the Kingdom. We are keen on making it clear that WAMY is a humanitarian charitable organization, he said adding that it is an essential matter to extend support to the charitable work not only in the Kingdom but also in all other countries of the world.

Dr al-Woheibi pointed out that the charitable sector has become a
basic pillar for development not only in the developed societies but
also in the developing ones.

It (the charitable sector) has become the third sector after the
governmental and private sectors, he said.
