Preparation for the 17th APPF meeting discussed

(KPL) The National Assembly, last Thursday, organised a meeting on hosting the 17th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), which is scheduled in January next year.
Attending the function were Vice-President and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the National Assembly, Dr Saysomphone Phomvihane, and the Deputy-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Mr Ngo Anh Dung, and over 100 representatives from relevant authorities. The participants also learned the success of Vietnam in hosting the previous APPF meeting. The National Assembly aims that the event, to be held in Vientiane early next year, will help promote Laos’s role at both the Asia-Pacific regional and international arenas.
