Forbes Global Ceo Conference Back To Msia From Sept 12-14
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- The Forbes Global CEO Conference is back
for the second time in Malaysia and will be held from Sept 12-14 in Kuala Lumpur
with the theme, "At the Crossroads".
The conference will examine how world leaders and global chief executive
officers (CEOs) are confronting critical policy and business decisions that
impact global prosperity, Forbes Asia said in a statement Wednesday.
It will also provide a platform for some 400 of the world's most influential
business, political and thought-leaders to assess the global economy and
identify the most dynamic growth opportunities.
"At the major crossroad of global trade between the east and west, Malaysia
is an ideal location for top CEOs and entrepreneurs to gather and debate the
best ways to generate global growth," its president and publisher, William
Adamopoulos said.
Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Tun Razak will join Forbes' chairman and
editor-in-chief, Steve Forbes in "A Meeting of Minds" dialogue session at a gala
dinner at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister of Malaysia, Muhyiddin Yassin
will also conduct a one-on-one conversation with Steve Forbes at the close of
the conference.
Minister of International Trade and Industry Mustapa Mohamed said
the participation of top leaders will be a significant reinforcement to Kuala
Lumpur's rise as an outstanding destination for foreign investment and economic
cooperation.
During the conference, panel sessions will feature discussions on how best
to strategise and harness opportunities in sectors such as money and investing,
technology, resources, real estate and healthcare.
It will also highlight the potential in emerging economies that are at the
center of global trade and provide insights on the best practices in social
responsibility, philanthropy and leadership.
