Malaysian PM Najib Looks Forward To Meeting Chinese Premier Wen
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Tun
Razak is looking forward to meeting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Thursday.
"I am looking forward to meeting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao tomorrow. We are
looking to forge stronger ties between the countries," he said in his Twitter
Wednesday.
Wen, who is on a two-day official visit, starting Wednesday, will meet Najib
Thursday at Putrajaya where both leaders are scheduled to hold official talks.
Najib will also host a luncheon for Wen at Seri Perdana, the official
residence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Thursday
This is Wen's second official visit to Malaysia.
The first was in December 2005 when he attended the first East Asia Summit
and the ninth Asean-China Summit and Asean Plus Three Summit held in Kuala
Lumpur.
This second visit is to reciprocate Najib's 2009 visit when the Joint Action
Plan on Malaysia-China Strategic Cooperation was issued.
On another matter, Najib tweeted he was looking forward to meeting his
online friends in Terengganu when he visits the East Coast state on Saturday.
