Turkey's tourism revenues up to 3.1 billion USD in Q1

ANKARA (A.A) - 28.04.2011 - Turkey earned 3.1 billion USD from tourism in the first quarter of 2011.
Turkey's statistics authority, TurkStat, made public the Q1 tourism statistics for 2011 and announced Turkey's tourism revenues as 3.1 billion USD and tourism expenditures as 1.1 billion USD.
Turkey's tourism revenues were up 28.5 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2011, and Turkey earned 2.2 billion USD of 3.1 billion USD of tourism revenues from foreign tourists. 
The average per person spending was 705 USD in the mentioned period.
