Barzani, EU delegation discuss circumstances in the region

Erbil (NINA) – Masoud Barzani, Kurdistan president, discussed with a delegation from the European League the circumstances in the region.

During the meeting, Barzani referred that there are problems, whether in Kurdistan or Iraq in general, but, their solutions are taking place on the right ways, because there is no person who can stay in power for ever, running the state is only for two terms. He also pointed out that the elections in Iraq and Kurdistan were conducted under supervision of EU, UN, and NGOs.

Regarding the Christians’ status quo, Barzani said that the Christians are basic element of the country and that they contributed in building it, therefore, it is our duty to take care of them. /End/
