Radioactivity background normal in Far East
KHABAROVSK, April 29 (Itar-Tass) -- The radioactivity background was
normal in the Russian Far East with the maximum level not exceeding 17
microroentgen per hour with the norm of 30 microroentgen.
The regional emergency center said radioactivity background was normal
in Amur, Khabartovsk regions and the Jewish autonomous district.
"There was no transfer of air from Japan to the territory of
Khabarovsk region," the weather service said.
The emergency center said "there is no threat to the health of people
in the Far East because of the accidents at the nuclear power plant in
Japan."
