AHMAD HUSNI TO HEAD M'SIAN DELEGATION FOR ADB GOVERNORS' MEETING IN HANOI

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 (Bernama) -- Second Finance Minister Ahmad Husni
Hanadzlah will lead the Malaysian delegation to the Asian Development Bank (ADB)
Board of Governors' Annual Meeting in Hanoi from May 3 to 6.

Ahmad Husni will also attend the Asean+3 (China, Japan and South Korea)
Finance Ministers' Meeting, said the Finance Ministry in a statement Friday.

The minister is expected to speak on the roles and functions of the
Manila-based ADB and its member countries in addressing regional inflation.

"Malaysia is also expected to hold talks on capacity building programmes and
current issues for mutual interest," it said.

Meanwhile, the finance ministers' meeting, to be held a day earlier before
the ADB Governors' Meeting, will see Ahmad Husni signing the protocol to
implement the 5th package of the Financial Services Commitment.

At the finance ministers' meeting, Ahmad Husni will hold talks on the
"Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation" and establishing the Asean+3
Macroeconomic Study Centre Office.

Ahmad Husni will also meet senior officials from international financial
organisations and international financial development institutions on the
sidelines of the four-day meeting, it added.
