THEY SAID EXPEL IT, AND IT WAS EXPELLED
International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA), based in Canada, expelled the Cyprus University of Nicosia in the Greek Cypriot administration after it asked the council to strip the East Mediterranean University from membership.
The Visual Arts Department of East Mediterranean University's Faculty of Communications applied to ICOGRADA for membership. The membership was admitted in 2011.
Then, University of Nicosia launched initiatives in all international organizations, and warned that it would lodge a complaint about this "illegitimate" membership. Then, ICOGRADA made an unexpected decision and stripped the Greek Cypriot university from membership.
MOST VISITS TO EUROPE
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan broke a record with his foreign country visits in his eight years in this position. He has paid 243 visits to 84 countries. Erdogan paid the highest visits to Europe, particularly European Union (EU) countries. When the United Nations (UN) data showing the number of world countries as 184 is taken into consideration, Erdogan has visited almost one of every two countries and went to every continent expect Antarctica.

UPRISING IN SYRIA REACHES BORDER REGIONS
Uprisings in Syria reached the border regions. Syrian regions close to Turkey's Nusaybin town have been surrounded by Bashar al-Asad's tanks. A group of 250 Syrians found shelter in Turkey. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu cut his trip to Konya short and returned to Ankara. Ankara is on alarm after recent developments in Syria.
DERBY OF PRESTIGE
Besiktas and Galatasaray soccer teams will compete in the last derby game of the 2010-2011 season at the Fiyapi Inonu Stadium. The game according to experts will be a derby of prestige as the two teams have no hopes of becoming champions this year. The game will kick off at 19.00 hours.

FIRST HOT SURVEY: AK PARTY: 48.7 PERCENT, CHP: 25.2 PERCENT
According to GENAR's survey, the Justice & Development (AK) Party will form a government on its own if an election is held today. Ergenekon-suspect candidates have not been beneficial to the Republican People's Party (CHP).
GENAR conducted a survey in 60 provinces to see the possible results of the upcoming general elections. The AK Party came the first in the survey by 48.7 percent. The CHP gained 25.2 percent of votes in the survey. The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) got only 11.9 percent. The vote of independent candidates of the Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) stayed at 6.4 percent.
"ECEVIT DESCRIBED US"
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized people who defined his "Canal Istanbul" project as "Ecevit's project", and said, "our project is very different from the one laid down by (defunct prime minister Bulent) Ecevit."
