BN HAS ROAD MAP TO MAKE MALAYSIA DEVELOPED NATION, SAYS PM NAJIB
KUALA TERENGGANU (Terengganu, Malaysia), May 1 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional government (National Front - BN) has prepared a detailed road map to make Malaysia a developed nation, Najib Razak said Saturday night.
The Prime Minister spoke of the success of BN in running the nation since it achieved Independence, and added: "We must understand that not just anybody can be trusted to administer the country."
"If we wish to see Malaysia continue to progress, the BN government is ready with a road map that is detailed and clear," Najib said at a "feast for the rakyat" attended by more than 26,000 people of various races at Dataran Shahbandar (Shahbandar Square)here.
He said the dream of becoming a developed nation was not a fantasy and will become reality with the commitment and determination of the BN government.
"I give you a guarantee that, barring (unforeseen) happenings outside the country, the objective of making Malaysia a developed nation will be realised by 2020," Najib said.
The Prime Minister said the opposition was not capable of any such thing as the people of Terengganu state well knew after suffering under PAS rule.
