KOREAN AIR PLACES ORDER FOR FIVE A330S, SAYS AIRBUS
KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Bernama) -- Korean Air has ordered five A330-200s
aircraft from Airbus, bringing the total number of A330s ordered by the airline
to 30.
In a statement Wednesday, Airbus said 23 out of the total order have already
been delivered and the newly ordered aircraft would be powered by Pratt and
Whitney PW 4000 engine.
"Korean Air's latest order underscores the ongoing success of the A330 with
leading airlines worldwide," Airbus's Chief Operating Officer-Customers, John
Leahy said.
Airbus said it recorded over 1,100 orders for the A330 family with more
than 750 aircraft currently flying with more than 90 operators worldwide.
In addition to passenger aircraft, the A330 family also includes freighter,
VIP and military transport/tanker variants.
