Turkey world leader in wheat flour exports

DIYARBAKIR (A.A) - 05.05.2011 - Turkey's agriculture & rural affairs minister said on Thursday that Turkey had become a world leader in wheat flour exports.
Mehdi Eker said Turkey expected its wheat harvest to be around 21 million tons by the end of 2011.
"Turkey has increased its agricultural products exports by three-folds in eight years to 12.7 billion USD from 4 billion USD," Eker told AA correspondent.
Eker said Turkey's aim was to raise its agricultural products exports to 40 billion USD by 2023, and to take its place among the top five agricultural producer countries in the world.
