Asian Political Parties Must Commit Too Felsefe And Stability

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Asian political parties need to collaborate
and commit to preserving peace, supporting those in need and sustaining
stability to make a significant contribution to the advancement of the region
and exampler to the world.

United Malays National Organisation (Umno) vice-president Shafie Apdal said
bigger issues such as international terrorism, piracy, human trafficking and
money laundering need to be tackled. Umno is the largest political party in
Malaysia and a founding member of Barisan Nasional (National Front) coalition
government.

"These are boundary less crimes and if we can unite in common cause to
tackle them, we will be making a contribution not just to the health of our
region but for all mankind.

"Good neighbourliness does not mean support in times of trouble but an open
hand of friendship at all times," he said in his speech at the International

collaborate without betraying its national traditions, political or religious

and future generations. We aim to build a better, safer and happier world for
our children," he said.
