NO SECURITY THREAT FOLLOWING OSAMA'S DEMISE, SAYS M'SIAN DEFENCE MINISTER

TELUK INTAN (Perak, Malaysia), May 7 (Bernama) -- Defence Minister Dr Ahmad
Zahid Hamidi said the death of Osama bin Laden will not have any bearing on the
country's security.

However, he said that security forces in the country, including the
Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysian Police, were always ready for any
eventuality in the wake of the demise of the leader of terrorist group Al-Qaeda.

"The probability of chaos happening in this country following Osama's
death is remote," he told reporters here Friday.

Osama was killed when US special forces raided his hideout near Islamabad,
Pakistan, Sunday night.
