Development of state language in Kazakhstan

Astana, 4 September 2008, (Khabar) - In Astana, the first sitting of curator council of Fund of development of state language was held under chairing of Kanat Saudabayev, Kazakhstan Secretary of State.

The Fund was founded according to the initiative of the President, Nursultan Nazarbayev and it
includes members of creative society. The Fund's main goal is to develop
spreading of state language and its activity is financed by sponsors. The
Fund supports compatriots who live abroad and repatriates (oralmans) who
returned to the historical fatherland. Members of Fund of development of
state language hope to contribute into consolidation of state system and
patriotism.

Kanat Saudabayev, Kazakhstan Secretary of State:
- The state language is spiritual value of any nation and it must unite all
the ethnic groups. It must be a value for the whole country and consolidate
state system. The state language is symbol of our country and guarantee of
development of state. The President said the future of country is in Kazakh
language. That's why new and important tasks were set up for the Fund.

Berik Abdygaliyev, director of Fund of development of state language:
- The task is set up and we must render social support to the language and
actions of the government. We will declare the contests for the best
projects and give grants, President's prize. And all interesting and
original technologies will be financed.
