Iranian FM''s recent GCC tour withing bilateral cooperation - spokesman

TEHRAN, May 9 (KUNA) -- Iranian foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi's recent visits to Oman, Qatar and the UAE aimed boosting cooperation to defend their mutual interest, an official said Monday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted by Al-Alam TV channel as saying that Iran believed in necessity of solid cooperation between regional countries to face their common challenges.
The foreign ministry seeks more coordination and consultation with regional countries, specially the Arab Gulf countries, "because the current developments and what was behind them of sedition require transparent talks between the Iranian officials and officials of regional countries." Mehmanparast accused Israel of inciting sedition between countries in t he region.
He said the enemies were trying to undermine relations between Iran and the Arab countries.
The spokesman, meanwhile, said Iran always welcomed good relations with Saudi Arabia.
