UTP WINS TWO GOLD MEDALS IN GENEVA
IPOH (Perak, Malaysia), May 10 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) won two gold and four silver medals at the 39th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prof Madya Dr Suzana Yusup was awarded a gold medal for the catalytic conversion process to produce bio-diesel from agricultural waste disposal.
She also won a Special Award from Saudi Arabia for the invention, said UTP Public Relations Manager Aslinda Jamaludin in a statement here Tuesday.
She said another gold medal was won by Hanita Daud for the remote body temperature monitoring system.
A total of 1,000 inventions from 45 countries competed in the exhibition held from April 6-10.
