PM NAJIB'S AN OBEDIENT CHILD, ALWAYS LISTEN TO ADVICE - MOTHER

KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 (Bernama) -- Rahah Mohd Noah Tuesday said that Prime Minister Najib Razak, who is her eldest son, had been an obedient child and always listened to advice.

"He has always been a good child, tell him to study, he'll study, tell him to play, he'll play, don't have to push him. He listens," she said.

As a mother, Rahah said she also performed 'tahajud' prayers regularly for Najib's wellbeing so that he could discharge his duties successfully as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Though a little shy when approached by reporters after the launch of "Mother's Love" exhibition at the National Art Galley here Tuesday, Rahah said Najib, who calls her "mummy", had never failed to keep in touch with her despite his busy and tight schedule.

Rahah, who is the wife of Malaysia' second Prime Minister Abdul Razak Hussein, now spends most of her time attending religious classes with her friends.

Meanwhile, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said the roles played by Rahah in nurturing her children should be emulated by all mothers.

She said Rahah symbolised a true Malaysian woman who possessed the inner strength and commendable life principles.

"She was once the wife of a prime minister, and now she managed to groom her son to become a prime minister too," she added.
