LATIN AMERICAN FESTIVAL IS BACK

KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) -- The annual Latin American Festival will be held on May 22 at the BB Park in Bukit Bintang, here.

Making its appearance for the third time, the event will showcase all things Latin American, including culture, food, arts and craft as well as music and dance.

Cuba's ambassador to Malaysia, Carlos Amores, said the embassies of
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela had joined hands to organise the festival in collaboration with the Latin Ladies Association of Malaysia.

"Proceeds from the festival will be donated in aid of the victims of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, especially children," he told reporters here Wednesday.

The festival will run from 11am to 6pm.
