ISLAMIC INNOVATION CARNIVAL TO SHOWCASE NEW IDEAS AND INNOVATIONS
KUALA LUMPR, May 12 (Bernama) -- The Islamic Development Department (Jakim) will organise the 2011 National Islamic Innovation Carnival from June 2 to 5, to highlight various ideas and innovations in the field of Islamic development and advances.
The event will be held in the premises of the National Mosque and Islamic Centre Complex, here.
Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and his consort Tuanku Nur Zahirah are expected to launch the carnival on June, said a statement from Jakim's National Mosque Public Relations and Resource Centre Unit Wednesday.
The carnival will feature 20 main activities, including presentation of the 2011 Islamic Innovation Award, innovative product exhibition, innovative and robotic product demonstrations, seminars, workshops and discussions.
The exhibition will feature 160 booths.
