Tehran, Dushanbe Sign MoU on Academic Cooperation
TEHRAN,May 14 (FNA)- Iranian and Tajik officials in a meeting in Dushanbe inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on promotion of academic cooperation between the two countries.
The MoU was inked by Iran's Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology in charge of training courses Hossein Naderimanesh and his Tajik counterpart.
Naderimanesh expressed the hope that the MoU would help deepen cultural affinity between the two countries.
Tajikistan is to offer some 50 scholarships to Iranian university students and in return the Islamic Republic of Iran will award some 250 scholarships to Tajik university students for higher education studies.
Iran and Tajikistan have recently accelerated expansion of their ties and cooperation and observers believe that the good achievements gained in area of their mutual cooperation should be deemed as a result of the efforts made by the two countries' officials.
