Iran Condemns Massacre of Palestinian Demonstrators by Zionist Regime
TEHRAN, May 16 (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemned the killing of Palestinian demonstrators on border areas of Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and Ramallah in the West Bank marking the anniversary of Nakba (catastrophe) day.
He made the remark in a televised exclusive interview on Sunday, terming the Zionist regime as cancerous for the entire Middle East region.
Referring to the death of eight demonstrators and injury of about 230 Palestinians on Sunday, he said that the Zionist regime showed its true nature by killing the innocent Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on the occasion.
Israel on Sunday killed eight and wounded several hundred Palestinian demonstrators marking anniversary of the occupation of Palestine on May 15, 1948, known as the Nakba Day or "day of the catastrophe" on border areas of Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and Ramallah, the West Bank.
