KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- Passengers with baggage issues following
the power surge at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on May 15, have
been urged to contact their respective airlines.
Malaysia Airports in a statement Monday said a total of 16 flights were
delayed by more than 30 minutes due to the power interruption with 1,212 short
shipped baggage.
"We are working closely with Malaysia Airlines and ground handlers to ensure
the baggage reaches the passengers as quickly as possible," it added.
There were four occurrences of power surge between 6.01am and 7.25am on May
15 and it affected some critical areas, specifically, the Baggage handling
Systems.
