Dushanbe Calls for Enhanced Cooperation with Tehran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Tajik Ambassador to Tehran Dowlat-Ali Hatamof underlined his country's enthusiasm for increasing mutual cooperation with Iran, specially in economic and investment fields.
"Today Tajikistan is in need of the Islamic Republic of Iran's greater cooperation, particularly for making investments there by Alborz Province investors," he said in a nomination ceremony of Tajikistan Park in Karaj city near Tehran on Monday.
Emphasizing the need for the exchange of experiences by experts of various production, industrial and cultural fields of the two countries, he said, "Cooperation between the two friendly neighboring countries of Iran and Tajikistan must expand more than ever before."
Hatamof referred to the need for the establishment of a joint economic common market between the two countries as a bare necessity, arguing, "Tajikistan with its rich resources and great potentials can be a very good partner with the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on the technical capabilities of the Iranian experts."
Referring to the academic and scientific cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan, the Tajik diplomat reiterated, "Today 120 students from my country are studying at various academic centers of Iran."
"There are also a number of Iranian students studying at Tajikistan's universities, and this shows close cooperation between the two countries' academic centers," he added.
Iran and Tajikistan have recently accelerated expansion of their ties and cooperation and observers believe that the good achievements gained in area of their mutual cooperation should be deemed as a result of the efforts made by the two countries' officials.
