Iran's FM Leaves for Kuwait

TEHRAN, May 18 (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, heading a delegation, left Tehran for Kuwait to discuss bilateral ties and the latest regional developments in meetings with senior officials of the Arab country.
During the daylong visit, Salehi and his accompanying delegation are slated to discuss the trend of Iran-Kuwait ties in political and economic fields, and exchange views over regional issues, the popular uprising in Bahrain in particular.

This would be Salehi's fifth visit to the regional states during the past three weeks.

Salehi had earlier visited a number of regional states and met with their senior officials on bilateral ties and recent developments in the region, specially the revolution in Bahrain.

Salehi visited Baghdad last week, where he conferred with senior Iraqi officials on bilateral and regional issues.

Earlier in May, Salehi, heading a high-ranking Iranian delegation, arrived in Doha for an official daylong visit to the Muslim Persian Gulf state.

Prior to that Salehi visited the Omani capital of Muscat to hold talks with senior Omani officials, including Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Said al-Saidon, on regional developments and bilateral ties.

The tour also took the Iranian foreign minister to Abu Dhabi, where he discussed bilateral ties and regional issues in meetings with senior United Arab Emirates (UAE) official, including Emirati prime minister and foreign minister, during his daylong trip.
