POSCO named S. Korea's best-managed company by Hong Kong publication

HONG KONG (Yonhap) - A Hong Kong publication on financial and capital markets said Wednesday that it has named POSCO, South Korea's leading steelmaker, as the best-managed company in the country for the second year in a row.
FinanceAsia said POSCO garnered 37 votes, the most among South Korean companies, in a poll conducted on more than 300 investors and analysts across Asia.
Samsung Electronics Co., the South Korea's electronics giant, received 31, ranking second.
POSCO also topped the categories of best corporate governance and best investor relations, followed in both by Samsung Electronics.
Samsung Electronics ranked the highest in the best corporate social responsibility category, while No. 1 cosmetics maker AmorePacific Corp. garnered the most votes in the best mid-cap category.
Meanwhile, Lee Yoon-woo, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, was named best CEO among South Korea business leaders.
