THREE RED SHIRTS LEADERS AMONG PHEU THAI CANDIDATES

BANGKOK, May 19 (Bernama) -– Three Red Shirts leaders will be among the
opposition Pheu Thai candidates in the coming general election.
Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit said Jatuporn Prompon, Natthawut
Saikua and Weng Tojirakarn would be among the 125 candidates on the party list.
Registration for the party list candidacies would begin Thursday and end on
May 23.
The new House of Representatives consists of 125 party list members of
parliament (MPs) and 375 constituency MPs.
The party list MPs are appointed based on proportionate votes received by
each contesting party.
He said the three would be among the top 20 party list candidates, thus
almost certain to become MPs.
