MATRADE BAGS TWO AWARDS FOR KITCHEN CAMPAIGN
KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia External Trade Development
Corporation (Matrade) has bagged the gold and bronze award for branding and
reputation in the "Malaysia Kitchen for the World campaign" held in New York
City on May 10.
The campaign, launched last year in New York, was aimed at placing Malaysian
restaurants and cuisine on the world map.
"We are thrilled to have received these awards.
"In addition to placing Malaysian cuisine firmly in the spotlight,
Malaysian food products were now on the shelves of numerous Asian grocers and
specialty stores, popular US supermarkets and hypermarkets, thus creating a
greater awareness for Malaysian food products," said New York Trade Commissioner
Wan Latiff in a statement today.
