SCHENKER LOGISTICS NAMED 2010 TOP FREIGHT FORWARDER BY MASKARGO
PETALING JAYA (Bernama) - Schenker Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was named the top freight forwarder for 2010 for the second consecutive year by Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASKargo) at the 15th MASkargo Megatonners Awards here Friday night.
The first runner-up was DHL Global Forwarding (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd while the third place went to Nippon Express (M) Sdn Bhd.
The annual event was graced by Deputy Minister of Transport, Tuan Jelaing Mersat. Also present was managing director and chief executive officer of Malaysia Airlines, Tengku Azmil Zahruddin.
A total of 30 forwarding agents from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kuching as well as from Jakarta, Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya received awards at the event.
Meanwhile, Multi-Trans Sdn Bhd was awarded the most improved MASkargo appointed agent.
"Today's event is special as it allows us to personally show our gratitude to our most important supporters from Kuala Lumpur, Penang state and Kuching (Sarawak state)," said MASkargo managing director, Shahari Sulaiman.
"This year, we are also happy to welcome our top agents from Jakarta and Japan," he added.
