Laos, China enhance ties
VIENTIANE,MAY.(KPL) - A bilateral meeting between the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction and the High-ranking Delegation of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference was held in Vientiane Capital on Sunday.
The meeting was aimed at enhancing the cooperation between the two organizations and contributing to the relations and cooperation strategically and comprehensively between Laos and China.
Both sides highlighted the cooperation and relations the two countries have natured over several decades and mutual help when they experienced natural disasters and vicissitudes in their respective countries.
Vice-President of Delegation of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Chen Zhongxing who headed the Chinese delegation appreciated the socio-economic development in the Lao PDR over previous years.
As head of the Lao delegation Mr. Tong Yeuthor, Vice-President of the Lao Front for National Construction highlighted some landmark events in the Lao PDR over couple years including the 25th SEA Games, the celebration of 450th anniversary of Vientiane as national Capital of Laos and the 9th Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party as well as the general election to the National Assembly’s seventh legislature.
