MALAYSIAN KING TUANKU MIZAN PRESENTS INSTRUMENTS OF APPOINTMENT TO FIVE ENVOYS
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal
Abidin presented instruments of appointment Wednesday to five newly-appointed
heads of foreign missions, at National Palace here.
They are Ahmad Rasidi Hazizi, the Malaysian ambassadors to Kazakhstan,
Ramli Naam (Ireland), R. Mahinder (Venezuela), Jamal Hassan (Morocco) and
M.C Samuel Jojie Samuel (Cuba).
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Ahmad Rasidi, 56, has served as the Malaysian
ambassador to Laos and the Philippines. His last post prior to the latest
appointment was as the Foreign Ministry's head of protocol.
Ramli, 57, is from Negeri Sembilan. He started his diplomatic career in 1978
and has served as the Malaysian ambassador to Algeria, Venezuela and Italy.
R. Mahinder, 53, who hails from Perak, has served as the Foreign Ministry's
Europe affairs division secretary and the America's division secretary. He was
the Malaysian ambassador to Nepal prior to his latest appointment.
Selangor-born Jamal, 53, has serverd as the deputy director-general of the
Asean sociocultural community at the Asean-Malaysia national secretariat.
He has also served as the Malaysian consulate-general in Shanghai and as a
division secretary at Wisma Putra.
Jojie Samuel, 47, from Johor, started his career in 1992 and once served as
the first secretary at the Malaysian Embassy in Baghdad.
His last post prior to his latest appointment was as the advisor to the
Malaysian Embassy in Turkey.
