ENVIRONMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS URGED TO PARTICIPATE IN CAEXPO
By Amanina Mohamad Yusof
KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 (Bernama) -- Malaysian environment service companies have been urged to participate in the China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO), simply themed "Environmental Protection" to held in Nanning, Guangxi, China in October.
Having been appointed the "Country of Honour" for this year's CAEXPO, Malaysia has the advantage in that it can showcase its capabilities, especially, in waste water treatment plant services, said International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Jacob Dungau Sagan.
"We also hoped companies providing education services should to participate as the government aimed to attract more Chinese students to pursue tertiary education in Malaysia," he told Bernama in an interview Friday.
The deputy minister also said local companies, regardless of sector, should take advantage of the golden opportunity to promote their products to trade visitors from around the world.
As the country of honour, Malaysia has been accorded preference site and a bigger exhibition area for the 100 companies which will be participating during the six-day fair beginning Oct 21, to be opened by Prime Minister Najib Razak.
