France gives over US$ 90,000 for road safety in Laos

VIENTIANE,MAY.(KPL) - French Government has provided US$90,150 to support the road safety and first aid project in Vientiane Capital yesterday.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Vientiane, on 26 May between Secretary General of Lao Red Cross, Dr. Keedaeng Thammalangsy and French Ambassador to Laos, Mr. Francois Senemaud in the witnesses of President of the Lao Red Cross, Dr Snivourast Sramany and officials relevant of both sides.
The fund will be used for the awareness raising project on road safety and first aid in Vientiane Capital for the young volunteer’s network of the Lao Red Cross.
The project will contribute to the social improvement via the youths’ activities, promote and develop knowledge of the young volunteers to national construction. This project will be run for 22 months till 2013.
