Minister Stresses Leader's Key Role in Defusing Enemy Plots
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei plays a key role in foiling enemies' plots against the country.
Addressing Interior Ministry directors and managers here in Tehran on Monday on the threshold of the demise anniversary of the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, Vahidi called on the Iranian nation to follow and support Imam Khomeini's successor, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in a bid to protect the country against potential harms and threats.
"Today, all of us are required to obey the successor of the late Imam, that is Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, …in a bid to defuse enemies' plots and deceits," Vahidi stressed.
On Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei warned about the plots hatched by the enemies against the Islamic Republic, and called on the Iranian officials and people to keep vigilant against such intrigues which seek to weaken the country.
The Leader cautioned that enemies are seeking to disrupt the Iranian economy, sow discord among the different state bodies and officials, and infiltrate their atheistic thoughts into the society in a bid to undermine the Islamic Republic of Iran's ruling system.
