Party Secretary – General receives Vietnamese guest
(KPL) Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, Secretary–General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and State President of the Lao PDR received yesterday at his office a courtesy visit of a Vietnamese delegation of Dong Nai province led by its governor Tran Dinh Thanh.
Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh who is also a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and his delegation arrived here on 5 September on a five-day working visit to Laos as a guest of Vientiane Capital Administration.
The Vietnamese delegation on the same day also paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh.
At the talks, Lao leaders praised and highly valued the relation and co-operation between Vientiane Capital and Dong Nai province of Vietnam, especially the investment in Vientiane Capital by investors from Dong Nai province, which is considered a contribution to strengthening the friendly relation and co-operation between Laos and Vietnam.
On this occasion, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh informed the Lao leaders of the purpose of his visit to Laos, especially the signing of an MoU to build a golf course at Ban Dong Phosy in
Vientiane. The US$ 1 billion project comprises a golf course and a five-star hotel.
