Speaker: Iran Assured of Islamic Nations' Victory
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran on Wednesday underlined that uprisings and revolutions of the Muslim nations in the Middle-East and North Africa will certainly embrace victory in the end.
"The Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) is assured of the fact that Islamic nations have found the way of freedom and that these actions will add to the depth of their experience and strengthen their struggle," Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani stressed on Wednesday.
"Divine victory is the result of patience and resistance on this path," he added.
The speaker once again condemned the violent actions taken against the Yemeni, Libyan and Bahraini people, and said these crimes are the result of the US and the West's wrong views and policies in the region.
In recent months, a wave of revolutions and anti-government uprisings has swept the Arab world.
In January, a revolution in Tunisia ended the 23-year ruling of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
In February, another Arab revolution led to the ouster of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak after three decades of his authoritarian rule.
Other revolutions, then, erupted in Libya, Yemen and Bahrain, while other anti-government unrests have also started in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait and Algeria.
Political observers believe that people's uprisings in the Middle-Eastern and North African countries are the result of growing "Islamic awakening" in the Middle-Eastern countries.
