June 15 All-Korean Committee Decides to Open June 15 National Rally for Peaceful Reunification
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- June 15 All-Korean Committee expressed deep concern over the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula and issued a press release Wednesday for the purpose of thoroughly implementing the north-south joint declaration in keeping with the aspiration and wishes of all fellow countrymen.
According to the press release, the North, South and Overseas Side Committees for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration agreed to open a grand national rally for peaceful reunification marking the 11th anniversary of the joint declaration in Kaesong (industrial zone included) on June 15 with 100 persons from the north, 100 persons from the south and at least 60 persons from overseas attending in the direction of making a positive contribution to national concord and peace and reunification of the country in the spirit of the joint declaration on the above-said occasion.
They agreed to organize colorful events such as an opening ceremony, a seminar, inter-sector meetings, an art performance, visits to historic sites in Kaesong area and a closing ceremony.
They also agreed to hold colorful events in various areas in the north and the south and abroad.
