MALAYSIAN BRANDS WINNERS IN 25 TRUSTED BRAND CATEGORIES

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Reader's Digest has named Malaysian brands
winners in 25 Trusted Brand categories, more than half of its survey.

In a statement Wednesday, Reader's Digest said both Malaysian and
international brands received the accolades of consumers in its annual survey,
which honoured the very best brands in the country and in Asia.

"The survey was to determine the brands most trusted by consumers in 43
categories of products and services," it said.
Among the winners were:
Car: Proton;
Petrol station: Petronas;
Phone services: Maxis and TM;
Internet broadband services: Streamyx;
Property developers: Sime Darby Property and SP Setia;
Banking: Maybank, Public Bank and Bank Islam;
Investment fund companies: Public Mutual;
Education: University Malaya and University Technology MARA;
Health: Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Sime Darby
Medical Centre Subang Jaya;
Cooking oils: Buruh, Knife and Seri Murni;
Rice: Faiza, Jasmine and Jati;
Jewellery stores: Habib Jewels and Poh Kong; and,
Airlines: Malaysia Airlines.
