DRANK IN BODRUM, DIED IN RUSSIA
Number of Russian tourists who were poisoned because of the drink they got in the boat trip and died increased to three. Marina Seveleva (22), who attended the same tour with her friend Anastasya and got on the plane going to Moscow felt fainted aboard the plane. 
Her friend went to hospital and she went to her home. Anastasya rescued but Marine died after being hospitalized on Tuesday.

THREE ADDITIONAL MONTHS TO 150 MILLION USD IN ELECTRICITY
Privatization Administration granted additional three months (till August 29) to companies which gave the highest offers in electricity distribution tenders.
The companies, which also have M. Emin Karamehmet and Mehmet Kazanci as partners, will pay 150 million USD additional guarantee till June 30.

SYRIAN OPPOSITION GATHERS IN ANTALYA
A group of nearly 300 Syrian opposition leaders gathered in Turkey's coastal city of Antalya on Wednesday for the "Conference for Change in Syria." Participants of the conference voiced opposition to a foreign intervention in Syria. Opposition figures included Kurds, Arabs, Muslims, Christians, tribes and Muslim Brotherhood. Melhem al Durubi from the Muslim Brotherhood underlined that Turkey was democratic model for Syria.

UN WARNS TURKEY OVER HYDROPOWER PLANTS
United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights has warned Turkey that the construction of some dams and hydroelectric power plants in the country caused major human rights violations. The UN committee report urged Turkey to review its laws and regulations on confiscation, evacuation, resettlement and redress.

ONE-DAY PARTNER EARNS 700,000 TL
An investor named Abdulkadir Anil purchased 20 percent of shares of Vakko, a company active in production and retail sale of luxury textile and leather goods and accessories, on Wednesday morning. He sold the shares in the afternoon, and gained a profit of 700,000 Turkish liras (TL).

BOTH DENIAL AND ASSIMILATION OVER
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made public in Istanbul seven giant economic projects for the southeastern province of Diyarbakir. Then, he held his long-awaited election rally in Diyarbakir. He said, "we have solved Kurdish problem. I know what status quo has made Kurds experience. Assimilation and denial policy is over. I am now aware of the tears of the mother who could not speak to his son at Diyarbakir Prison. Now she can talk. I am living everyone without making any discrimination as Kurds or Turks."
