FIREFLY SAYS NO FUEL SURCHARGE IN FORESEEABLE FUTURE

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 (Bernama) -- Community airline Firefly Sdn Bhd has
reiterated that it will not impose any fuel surcharge in the foreseeable future
despite high jet fuel prices.

"Firefly's fare structure and pricing strategies have already taken into
account the off peak and high peak cycles and both early bird buyers and last
minute shoppers," Managing Director Eddy Leong said in a statement Thursday.

He said the airline maintains high efficiency in its organisation to keep
its operating costs low, enabling them to offer the lowest fares to its
passengers.

Currently, Firefly operates an airplane fleet of 10 ATR 72-500 turboprop,
four B737-800s and one B737-400s.

It provides services like point-to-point connectivity by aligning itself
with the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) agenda and
services within Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.
